About the Role:
A Condominium Association is looking for a dedicated and reliable Porter to join our team at our premier high-rise building in Jersey City, NJ. This is a great opportunity to be part of a professional residential community where your hard work and attention to detail make a real difference for residents every day.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all common areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators
- Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal throughout the building
- Assist with move-in and move-out procedures, including elevator padding and coordinating access
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of building amenities, laundry rooms, and parking areas
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or building concerns to building management promptly
- Assist residents with packages, deliveries, and general requests in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, salting walkways, and exterior upkeep
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Porter, Janitor, or Building Maintenance worker preferred, ideally in a high-rise or residential setting
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents and staff
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed
